Frost possible tonight! ...Florence slamming Bermuda...TD 7 forms

22:00EDT
Invest 93L has strengthened into TD 7 this evening. The first NHC advisory will come out for TD 7 at 23EDT tonight.

19:00EDT
Much colder, autumn-type air has moved into the region. Today featured partly cloudy skies and light winds. when the sun was out, it could actually get quite warm if you were doing something, but then when it clouded over and a breeze blew past, it definitely felt like late September, early October. Chilly air will stay in the region for the next 48 to 72 hours. Tonight, temperatures will fall into the upper 30s with possibly sub-freezing temperatures to the north and in the valleys. Frost is not out of the question tonight as winds die down somewhat.
tomorrow temperatures will struggle into the mid 60s with a brisk northeast wind powered by the large wind field of Hurricane Florence. Temperatures will tumble once again into the 30s tomorrow night with another threat of frost.
Low temperatures will moderate slowly as we enter the later part of next week however high temperatures will still be held down in the upper 60s. A threat of rain is in the forecast for Wednesday Night into Friday as an upper level low moves into the region. There is a slight chance that heavy rain accumulations could occur, however it is too far out in the forecast to worry about that yet.

Hurricane Florence has finally begun to strengthen and has formed a ragged eye as it nears Bermuda. Sustained winds are now up to 90mph and it is still in the realm of possibility for Florence to achieve major hurricane status. swells from Florence will batter the New England coast line for the next 36 hours. Florence is a very large hurricane and the track has actually shifted further west so if you have interests along the New England shore line and eastward, please stay tuned to the NWS for updates.
