Severe weather threat down
While the SPC continues a slight risk over eastern NY and central and northern New England, it appears that southern NH will not experience anything in the way of severe weather today. The main area of instability will be located over northern NY and New England, with LIs between -6 and -10 and CAPE over 2500j/kg. Further south, a moderate cap will hold any convection from forming with CAPE of only 1000 to 1500, it doesnt appear likely for the cap to be broken this afternoon. Storm motion out of the south and southwest will keep anything that forms in NY to the north. All in all, Keene may see a thunderstorm this evening, but no severe weather is expected at this point.
