Radar looking impressive

A large swath of heavy precipitation has completely engulfed PA and southern NY, and is moving to the east-northeast. Based on the latest radar trends, some light snow showers could begin to fall as early as 1030. Heavy snow will move in by 130 to 2pm. Could see accumulations of 4 to 6 inches by 7pm, with an additional 2 to 3 inches before tapering off around midnight.

Early dismissal continues to be a possibility for schools in western New England. Will likely see snow accumulation around 1 to 2 inches by 2pm, with the snow starting to really come down by that time with road conditions rapidly deteriorating by 3pm and visibility near a quarter mile at times. The timing of the snow will make the evening commute dangerous, so take it slow on your ride home.
