Snow continues to fall steadily

The area of heavy snow has moved off to the east, while a dry slot has pushed north into southern NH. However, Cheshire county will continue to be subject to snow moving west from NY. This is where the best dynamics have set up, and you can see on radar widespread moderate to heavy precipitation. Dry air to our east and mountains to our west will hold back the heaviest snow, but steady accumulation is likely to continue through 11am with possibly another 3 to 4 inches. Temperatures slowly rose overnight and now sit at 27 in Keene. The coastal is rapidly developing to our south and will start to generate northerly winds, however temperatures will still manage to reach the low to mid 30's. Count on some sleet mixing in with any precipitation in the late morning and afternoon.

As the coastal bombs out, some backlash precipitation is possible, it is uncertain whether or not the backlash will extend this far west, however could see scattered snow showers into Tuesday morning with maybe another inch of accumulation. Winds will begin increasing this afternoon and could gust at times near 40mph. On the coast, wind gusts could reach 55mph. With newly fallen dry snow, there may be brief periods of reduced visibility. This afternoon, keep in mind that driving will be just as hazardous.

Around the region, portions of CT and central MA have received significant ice accumulations, and ice storm warnings are in effect. Widespread power outages are possible this afternoon with the winds. To our north, an all snow event. I havent received any reports from north of Concord yet, but dry slot will not have reached into central/northern NH, so significant snow accumulations of over one foot are still anticipated.
