Storm forecast for Tue Night and Thu

Two more events are likely this week along the boundary to our south. The first one coming up tomorrow afternoon through Wednesday morning, will be mainly an ice event. QPF is low, less than .25". Could see an inch of snow followed by sleet and freezing rain overnight into Wednesday morning. This event will be similar to last night here in Keene, more a nuisance than anything else.

Snowfall forecast for 12z Tuesday through 12z Wednesday: 1"
Ice accumulation forecast for 12z Tuesday through 12z Wednesday: .1"

The following event, on Thursday, could be much more substantial. Euro and GFS have a consensus for QPF around an inch, with HPC guidence calling for up to 1.5". At this point, with 850mb temperatures down to -5C and surface cold continuing to be reinforced by high pressure to the north, it should be an all snow event, with only a slight mixing of sleet. This will allow at least 12:1 ratios likely. Right now, I have high confidence warning criteria snowfall (>6").

Snowfall forecast for 00z Thursday through 00z Saturday: 8" - 16"
