Snow starting to fall in CNY

The storm is winding up quickly now. Pressures are falling at the rate of 3mb / 2 hours across New York City right now, with a 995mb low now just south of Long Island. This low will track inland over the next 24 hours, spreading heavy precipitation across all of SNE, NY, PA, and NJ. Critical thicknesses are aligned north to south across eastern NY. Across CNY, precipitation is already falling as snow. These areas are on track to receive widespread 6+ inch amounts with locally up to 2 feet in the higher elevations. Across eastern New England, a much different picture is setting up. Warm air is flooding the region to the east of the low, and as excellent jet dynamics establish across the northeast, eastern MA, and RI may have to contend with some severe thunderstorms. Some of these storms may even develop rotation that will have to monitored.
