Warmer Tuesday, with rain

While adjustments continue to occur between model runs, the general consensus is now for a rain snow mix through 3am, changing to rain or freezing rain through 6am, and becoming all rain for Tuesday. Little if any snow accumulation is anticipated at this time, except for maybe a coating in higher elevations.

Depending on if some icing does occur, a delay on Tuesday is not completely out of the question yet.

Yesterday continued our now 6 day streak of temperatures below freezing, and in fact only reached a high of 23 = a full 20 degrees below normal! This was also a record low max, that accompanied many other records across the region.

This cold outbreak is truly remarkable, but even more amazing is that we still have yet to capture our first measurable snowfall. Any other November, with these types of temperatures, we would have snow on the ground by now. In addition, much of New England from CT, RI, MA, NH on up into ME even have yet to get measurable snowfall, and we are really in small company as places as far south as northern North Carolina have received their first snowfall by now.
