The radar is filling in nicely to our west, and a large plume of moisture is evident across the Ohio Valley extending down into the Gulf. This area will move east and north tonight.
Observations so far across the Mid Atlantic region up into southern CT suggests that mid level warming continues a bit ahead of schedule, with freezing rain and sleet reports moving north steadily.
Looks like sleet should take over around 9am tomorrow, with freezing rain following quickly. No change to the accumulation forecast for now.
--- Snowday Outlook ---
Holding at 75% mainly because of the discrepencies with storm specifics making the overall forecast a little shaky. However, regardless, there is really not much reason for not having a cancellation. I have been asked if there wasnt a cancellation, if there would be a delay, and I've also been asked if there would be an early release instead. Both of these I cant imagine since it will be precipitating all day, with substantial snow and ice accumulations making travel at any time of the day trecherous. So a cancellation becomes necessary.
