Tracking the backdoor front

While southwest CT basks in temperatures in the mid to upper 70's, clouds and scattered rain showers associated with a backdoor cold front have overspread central New England, with temperatures kept down in the mid to upper 50's. A weak center of low pressure is currently located in southeast New York. This low will move across southern New England this evening, increasing the coverage of showers over the region as low level moisture increases. Total rainfall through midnight should be no more than a tenth inch.
