Major winter storm still has room for change
While confidence is growing for a foot+ snow event, there remain factors that could significantly change the outcome of this storm. The main one that I'm watching for is the positioning of banding. A cold airmass moving south will present incredible frontogenisis over portions of southern VT, southern NH, and northern MA. This will encourage the development of bands of 2 to 3 inch per hour snowfall rates through Saturday morning. There exists the potential for accumulations of over two feet in a narrow band in these areas, however outside these areas snow accumulations will range from 6 to 12 inches. So a lot will depend on the positioning of this band
