Part one tomorrow

The first chapter of a long novel of snowfall begins tomorrow. A weak shortwave will slide quickly through southern New England tomorrow afternoon and evening. Surface low pressure will approach from the south, with warm advection out ahead moving precipitation into the region from SW to NE. Temperatures will be cold enough for all snow north of I90, with rain mixing down to the coast. Precipitation will be light and snow will accumulate only an inch or two through Thursday night.

More details on Part two will follow later tonight.
