Coming to an end

Hurricane Season 2006 is coming to an end. Currently on the board, we stand at 9 named storms, 5 hurricanes, and 2 major hurricane... none of which hit the US or reached category 5 intensity. At this point, 2006 is under a third of the intensity of 2005. More light will be shed on this after the official end of the season on November 30th (however more storms can be named under 2006 during December). There are still model solutions here and there calling for development in the Caribbean, so I cannot rule out another tropical storm. But I am shifting into winter mode as we see the possibility for cold and snow move into the region.
