Watching Tuesday Night and Thursday

The boundary approaching the region today, will continue to lay a path for storm systems this week. A continuous outpour of energy from the south will move northeast and east into New England. The first effect of this will be felt tonight with the snow and ice event. Just 36 hours later, Tuesday Night, more is on our doorstep, with the possibility of a bit more ice this time. A break on Wednesday, then a bigger snow threat for Thursday. As the front finally pulls away this weekend, round #4 is possible on Saturday with some light accumulation. Total accumulation this week could approach a foot. Then the potential continues for a major snow storm for the start of the following week.

Forecast maps for the Tuesday night storm will be issued later today.
