Dolly rapidly intensifying - landfall shortly

Hurricane Dolly continues to decrease in forward motion, while it is also undergoing rapid intensification. The 9am EDT advisory increased winds to 95mph (85kts) (high end category 1) and included a recon sampled pressure of 967mb. However, recon just found a pressure of 961 mb near the eye of Dolly. While the pressure appears to be bottoming out (15mb in the last 5 hours!), winds have not followed suit ...yet. The latest satellite imagery indicates Dolly may be experiencing some problems with dry air near her north eye wall. This could potentially keep her at her high end cat 1 status in terms of wind, while pressure supports a low end category 3!

Whatever the case may be, Dolly will be making landfall within the next 4 hours as a formidable hurricane.
