Snow in the SVT forecast

With the highly amplified pattern about to stick a long wave trough in the east, a strong vortex will dive into the region, bringing a round of showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday followed by below normal temperatures Thursday through Saturday. Precipitation in the form of scattered showers could continue Thursday night, as the colder air plunges south, and this could result in some higher elevations (above 1000ft) to see its first flakes. This still is a long shot simply because showers will be very isolated.
