Snow started falling in the Keene area earlier this afternoon and has been falling moderately for a few hours now. Snow growth looks moderate with decent ratios despite its heavy moisture content. Already, elevation effects are evident. Above 1000ft, already around an inch more has accumulated than at 500ft, with substantial accumulations on the roads. This trend will continue overnight. A period of enhanced precipitation may occur around midnight as stronger omega moves through. Low level warming will transition snow to rain by 3am at lowest elevations and by 6am for everyone else. However, by 4am, only light precipitation will be left over as the dry slot moves in. Total snowfall below 1000ft will be around 4" to 5" with 5" to 6" above 1000ft.
Light to moderate snow and rain showers will continue throughout the day Thursday and Thursday Night.
--- Snowday Outlook ---
Timing notably diminishes the chance for a snowday, but amounts should warrant a delay tomorrow.
