Stormy weekend

I have limited time for a full write up, but the forecast doesnt look much different from yesterday.

Highlights:
- Thursday afternoon to Friday morning - Low pressure developing in the south tonight, will move east-northeast toward the region tomorrow. Warm air advection will trigger scattered light showers by the late afternoon (probably not until 4). Warm moist air will be pulled northward Thursday night. A frontal boundary passes through after midnight bringing a band of moderate showers with it. Total rainfall will be between .3" and .5". Any left over showers should taper off before by Friday morning. Skies will clear through the day.

- Saturday afternoon through Sunday - A strong storm system will be developing in the south Friday night, tapping into Gulf moisture. This storm will intensify through the day, while turning northeast toward the Great Lakes. Increasing warm advection will spread clouds across the region bring back showers by Saturday evening. Triple point low develops south of New England Saturday night, and will track over the region during the day Sunday. The northward extent of the warm front before the low and associated cold frontal boundary crosses will have large effect on high temperatures for the day as well as the potential for convection. Should the low track further west, with a slower eastward component to the cold front, high temperatures could reach into the 50's. 850mb temperatures will be approaching 8C to 10C regardless, before the frontal passage, and decent mid level lapse rates with total totals into the high 40's suggests the potential for thunderstorms. I hope to begin discussing the potential for some strong elevated thunderstorms in the severe weather outlook tomorrow. Aside from that, the entire column will be saturated by Sunday morning, and with decent lift associated with the cold front, heavy downpours will be possible. Total rainfall of .5" to 1" is likely, with up to 2" in thunderstorms.

Left over showers will be through before Monday morning. Skies clear by Monday evening. Tuesday will be dry. Tuesday Night - Wednesday and then Friday into next weekend looks like it could be wet.
