UN issues Global Warming report
A 21 page report from the UN was issued this morning.
The report includes that based on carbon dioxide increases, humans are probably the cause of global warming. Also, what has occurred so far cannot be reversed and will continue to affect us over the next century even if we lower our CO2 emissions.
Heat:
"Virtually certain" that "warmer and more frequent hot days and nights over most land areas" will increase based on projections for the 21st century using SRES scenarios.
Storm:
The UN reports that it is "very likely" for an increase in the frequency of heavy precipitation events based on projections for the 21st century using SRES scenarios. In addition, the report says it is "likely" for "intense tropical cyclone activity to increase" based also on projections for the 21st century using SRES scenarios.
