Frigid week ahead

Temperatures in Cheshire County range from 0 to -5 this morning with wind gusting to 30mph. Arctic air has moved into the region. Highs today will struggle to reach 10 above, and lows will tumble below zero tonight.

Quick summary (in depth later):

I have to admit I've sturggled a bit with the long term forecast, but it's getting straightened out now.

Wednesday (3/7) - Quick warm up. Highs around 20, lows in the single digits.
Thursday (3/8) - Another arctic front moves through sending lows Thursday night down below zero once again.
Friday (3/9) - Zonal flow starts the transition to a Pacific air mass. Highs will reach the upper 20s.
Saturday (3/10) - Pacific air mass in place. Showery weather and highs in the low 40's.
- Through 3/15 - Temperatures 5 to 7 degrees above average will continue through this period. (+AO)
- 3/15 to 3/18 - Quick cold snap with temperatures about 5 degrees below average.
- 3/18 - Ridge builds across west and midwest.
- 3/20 to 3/25 - Ridge advances east. Above average temperatures across the nation.
- 3/25 - Midwest storm brings rain changing to snow and begins a change to -NAO.

Postscript:
2.5 inches of snow fell yesterday. 1.5 of which came in 45 minutes.
