MAJOR COLD ON ITS WAY
10/21 --- sorry this is late everyone. I lost power last night. First, a recap of the past 24 hours: A very strong cold front came through last night triggering heavy rains, high winds, and in some cases severe thunderstorms. Behind the front, winds shifted to the northwest, gusting to 50mph and bringing in temperatures as much as 20 degrees colder to the region. Today, sunny skies will be the only source of warmth, as temperatures struggle to hit 50 and winds continue to gust up to 20 to 25mph through the early afternoon. For the rest of the weekend, temperatures will be very cold in the upper 40s and lows in the 20s. A strong storm system will affect the region Sunday Night into Monday, possibly ending with a coastal low and heavy rains late Monday and Monday Night. With colder air in place, there is a chance for some snow to mix in late Sunday Night, however almost every agency is sticking with temps in upper 30s and a cold rain.
Behind the storm, temperatures will fall again into the mid 40s for highs and mid 20s for lows through the latter half of the work week. Another storm will affect the region around Friday, with possibly another shot at some snow into Friday Night.
Parts of Northern New England saw their first accumulating snows last night and will likely see some action tomorrow night with the next storm.
TODAY IS COLD, BUT SUNNY AND QUITE A LOVELY DAY!!! COME TO THE PUMPKIN FEST IN KEENE, NH!!!
